Mount Nelson - Good bottle of white and friends
There is nothing better after a stressful day, than relaxing and having good chats about the lighter side of life with friends and a great bottle of the white or red variety!
Everyone deals with the end of the day in their own way. Whilst looking around the Mount Nelson, elegant cocktail bar called Planet Bar, you cant help noticing all the different kinds of people and what their drink of choice is:)
Some can only think of a beer at the end of a hard day and then others are just opting for a large and thick chocolate milkshake. Me, I like them both, depends on my mood.
Sitting on the patio overlooking the lush gardens, picturesque as it would have been once, when all were wearing corsets and thick fabrics, raffles and made.
I would love to go back to that time. People were pretty and polite and life was simple (except for the occasional war). I would wear a long elegant gown with peach and cream color. Satin fabric that would swoosh around my ankles. I'd have a matching floral umbrella and drink sherry, with my hair in ringlets by my ears.
Now that, is a way to relax at the end of a stressful day!
Lucky for us in Cape Town, we can still sit on the patio at the Mount Nelson and imagine a time when it was the norm!
Cheers to good friends!
